Clearing the way
Jim Belshe of 612 North Oak Street in Eldon, was busy Monday morning, Feb. 8, clearing his driveway of a light coating of snow that fell overnight. He said he was only clearing a path, because he anticipated having to re-enact the job Tuesday. Osage Courtwarming postponed
School of the Osage officials have postponed Friday's game with Versailles and Courtwarming festivities. The basketball game with Versailles will be made up Monday, Feb. 22, and Courtwarming has been rescheduled for Friday, Feb. 26 against the California Pintos.
Eldon City Council to meet
The Eldon City Council will meet Tuesday, Feb. 9, at the Public Works Building on Highway Y at 6 p.m.
Home and Garden Expo Next Weekend
The Lake Area Chamber of Commerce sponsored ninth annual Home And Garden Expo, will be held from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 13, and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 14, at the Lodge of Four Seasons, in Lake Ozark.

Condos burglarized in Rocky Mt. area
In the past two weeks, several condominiums and homes in the Rocky Mount area were burglarized, according to information provided by the Morgan County Sheriff’s Office and condominium owners.

Grief support meetings
Phillips Funeral Home in Eldon will host free grief support meetings from 6 to 8 p.m., Tuesday, Feb. 9, and from 1 to 3 p.m., Thursday, Feb. 11.
Kiwanis Courtwarming dinner Feb. 12
The Eldon Kiwanis Club will host its annual Courtwarming dinner from 5 to 7:30 p.m., Friday, Feb. 12, at the Eldon High School commons.
Univ. Extension annual banquet Feb. 25
The annual Miller County University of Missouri Extension banquet and meeting will be held at 6 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 25. The banquet will be held in the Tuscumbia school cafeteria.
Pancake night for
Easter Egg-stravaganza
Eldon First Assembly of God will hold a pancake night from 4:30 to 7 p.m., Wednesday, Feb. 10, at the Eldon McDonald’s, with proceeds to defray costs of this year’s free community Easter Egg-stravaganza.
